Since our body is constantly changing, our hair and its structure also change throughout life. Therefore, to choose the right hair care, it’s important to constantly monitor the condition of your hair.

Home test: Fill a bowl with water and place a strand of your hair in it. Oily hair will float on the surface, while dry hair will absorb the moisture and sink to the bottom.

Normal hair is elastic, shiny, and easy to comb, although the ends may be a bit dry and occasionally break. After washing, the hair has a beautiful shine. The hair rarely gets static, isn’t too frizzy, and styling is relatively easy.

Since hair doesn’t become greasy quickly, it can be washed every 3-4 days, and a moisturizing hair care product can be used every other wash.

Oily hair becomes greasy by the evening of the first day after washing, and the frizz disappears quickly. The ends do not break, and the hair doesn’t get static. Styling is relatively easy, but the style may not stay in place for long.

Oily hair generally needs to be washed daily with a mild shampoo. Once a week, a clarifying or shampoo designed for oily hair should be used.

Dry hair is dry right after washing and becomes dirty slowly, with almost no shine. The ends break easily, the hair is constantly static, very frizzy, and styling is relatively difficult.

Dry hair can be washed less often, such as once a week. Moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, and serums should be preferred for washing and care. Nourishing hair masks/oils should be used frequently. Daily scalp massages work very well for the hair.

Combination hair (oily at the scalp, dry at the ends) is elastic and shiny right after washing but loses volume 2-3 days later, becoming oily and shiny at the roots, while the ends become dull, break easily, and may get static. Styles in this hair type typically don’t last well.

Combination hair should be washed twice a week and occasionally treated with a clarifying shampoo.
